Week Two: Silhouette
I think a lot of us will focus in on trees for this weeks prompt from Sally, and that's exactly what I did. Only my concentration was on the indoor kind this time of the year.
Yep, time to take the Christmas Tree back down.
It's funny how somethings can really get to you. When you first get it up, and by that I mean getting it straight, and remain standing (We won't mention the year I was on a step stool, straightening one last ornament, when it decided to join me flat on the floor.), you are so full of excitement with all the anticipation of the Holidays.
But once all the ornaments are back off and it's sitting there naked, it almost feels like you are saying bye to a dear friend.
Good thing there is always another December, right around the corner.
See you next week.
very cool photography effects!
ReplyDeleteLove your different effects - I really like the second one - it would make a great background for a Christmas card!
ReplyDeleteI also like the second photo. I like the texture of the background with the silhouette of the branches against it.
ReplyDeleteLove that last picture! That would make gorgeous fabric. I got dumped headfirst into the tree one year when the stool folded up with me on it! Now I know not to trust the step stool!
ReplyDeleteI choose the last image! Love the black on green!
ReplyDeleteLove how you've played with the photos! Some great silhouettes I, too, like the last one best :)
ReplyDeleteI love the various edits - super! It is a bit sad taking down the decorations and tree sometimes, isn't it? But yes, December will be here again before we can blink! Remember,...Christmas decorations w/be in the store come this July and black Friday shopping now starts in August! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! I love the different effects you used.
ReplyDeleteLove the effects you used ... that last one is my fave as it really highlights the branches and adds another layer of green. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt also seems we anticipate and anticipate and then it is all over in the blink of an eye.
ReplyDeleteA photo with so much to tell
Great photos, I love what you did with the editing, the last one is my favourite and I totally agree it would make a wonderul fabric,
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, great job with the effects, I love seeing the different possibilities and I really like the last one!
ReplyDeleteThe spiky branches make for gorgeous silhouettes. Our tree is still up and decorated because I can't bring myself to take the decorations down yet!
ReplyDeleteI think the last photo is my favorite, I do like the others as well,
ReplyDeleteEach one of those edits are so cool!! It always make me sad to take down the tree. Mine is still standing with just the lights.
